OddFare is a flight-deal website operated by Bluebox Consulting (“we”, “us”), based in Toronto, Ontario. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: the site has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking cookies, it counts visits only in aggregate, and the only personal information we collect is what you choose to type into a form.
What We Collect and Why
Reading the site collects nothing that identifies you. We collect personal information only when you send one of these forms:
Newsletter signup. Your email address, the time you signed up, the network address you signed up from and the exact words you agreed to. We use them to send the newsletter and to prove that you consented, as Canada’s anti-spam law requires. We send one confirmation email first; nothing else is sent until you click the link in it. Every email after that carries an unsubscribe link, which works at once.
Trip, hotel and airport requests. What you wrote (the trip, the price you want to hear about or the airport you fly from), your email address and the network address the request came from. We use them to answer your request by email. A person reads and answers every request.
Coupon redemptions. When you press Redeem, we record which code was handed out and when, against a random identifier your browser keeps, so that you see the same code again. It is not tied to your name or email address.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for anything other than the purposes above.
Visit Statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages are visited, how often, from which countries, on what kinds of browsers and devices, which site sent the visitor, and how fast pages load. It works without cookies or anything else stored on your device, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. We only see totals, never individual visitors. Cloudflare processes the information under its own privacy policy.
How Long We Keep It
Newsletter records: for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep your address and consent record for three years, only as proof of consent and so that we never email you again, then delete them. A signup that is never confirmed is deleted 30 days after the confirmation email. You can ask us to delete your records sooner.
Requests: until we have answered, and for up to one year afterwards so that we can follow up on the same request.
Coupon redemptions: one year.
Backups: a copy of our database is made each night and kept for 14 days, so deleted information disappears from backups within 14 days.
Service Providers and Where Your Data Is Processed
We use three service providers. Cloudflare hosts the website and stores what you send through its forms, protects it from attacks, counts visits (Web Analytics) and runs Turnstile, the automatic check on our forms that tells people from programs. Resend sends our emails. Microsoft OneDrive holds our nightly backups. Each processes information only to provide its service to us, under its own privacy terms. All three are based in the United States and may store or process information there or in other countries, where it may be accessible to the authorities of those countries under their laws. What you send through a form is stored in Cloudflare’s database in North America, and a copy is kept on our own computer in Ontario, Canada.
Cookies and Browser Storage
We set no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies; our visit statistics work without cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse. The site also keeps a few items in your browser’s local storage: whether you chose the light or dark theme, whether you closed the newsletter box, and any coupon code you redeemed with its random identifier. Only that identifier is ever sent to us, when you press Redeem. You can clear all of these in your browser’s settings.
Links to Other Sites
Links marked “Book on Google Flights” and links to airlines take you to their websites, where their privacy policies apply, not ours. We receive no commission or referral payment from any link on this site.
How We Protect It
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The records of signups and requests can be reached only by us, through a login or a private key that only we hold, and our backups are kept in a private account. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit what we collect and who can reach it.
Age
OddFare is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 to sign up for the newsletter or send a request. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to our emails at any time. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; residents of Quebec may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information, and residents of the EU or UK their local data protection authority.

Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Bluebox Consulting, which operates OddFare. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The site is offered free of charge, for personal, non-commercial use.
What the Site Is
OddFare lists round-trip fares out of Toronto that are well below what those dates usually cost. It does not sell tickets, hold seats, or act for any airline or travel agency. Every fare shown is a price we observed at the time it was checked, and prices change constantly, so a listed fare may already be gone. Unless a page says otherwise, prices are for one adult, round trip, in economy, in Canadian dollars, and include the taxes and fees shown at the time of the check; the booking site shows the full breakdown before you pay.
No Guarantee of Price or Availability
We make no promise that any fare shown can still be booked at that price, that a “deal” is the cheapest fare available, or that our “usual price” figures and savings are accurate; they are estimates (see How We Price Deals below). Airlines may withdraw fares at any time, including fares filed in error, and may cancel bookings made on them. Always confirm the price and the fare rules on the booking page before you pay, and read the airline’s conditions of carriage.
Coupons
Coupons and promo codes on the site are offered by airlines and other companies, not by us. Each is governed by its issuer’s own terms, which decide who may use it, on what and until when. Codes may be limited in number, may run out or expire without notice, and may not work for every booking. We do not guarantee that any code will be accepted, and a code may be redeemed only once per person unless its issuer says otherwise. Please do not collect codes in bulk or resell them.
Newsletter and Requests
The newsletter is free and you can unsubscribe at any time from any email. Requests to watch a trip or add an airport are answered on a best-effort basis; we do not promise to find the price you asked for, or to add any airport.
Not Advice
Nothing on this site is travel, financial or legal advice. Decisions to book, and their consequences, are yours. We are not responsible for changes to fares, schedules, entry requirements, or anything that happens on a trip.
Third-Party Sites
Booking links open third-party websites, such as Google Flights and airline sites, which pass you on to the seller. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices or conduct. Their terms apply once you leave ours.
Acceptable Use
Do not scrape, mirror, or republish the site’s content, or use automated tools against it, without our written permission. Do not send spam or false information through our forms, and do not attempt to interfere with the site or gain access to its systems.
Availability
The site may be slow, out of date or offline at any time, without notice. We may change or withdraw any part of it, or the whole of it, at any time.
Intellectual Property
The site’s design, text and code belong to Bluebox Consulting. Destination photographs belong to their authors and are used under their licences. Airline names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use or from reliance on anything shown on it, including a fare that could not be booked, a coupon that did not work, a booking that was cancelled, or a trip that went wrong. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site, which is nothing.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the new terms apply from that date. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute belongs to the courts of Ontario. Nothing here takes away rights that consumer-protection law gives you where you live.
Every fare on OddFare is compared with what the same trip usually costs. This page explains where those numbers come from and what they can and can’t tell you.
What “Usual” Means
For each trip we look at up to four estimates of its usual price: the typical price shown for those exact dates when we check them, the median price of those exact dates over the past 60 days, the route’s own price history, and our own record of what the route costs at that time of year. We use the lowest of the estimates we have, so a saving is never worked out against an inflated price. The percentage below usual, and the “Usually about” figure, come from that comparison.
What Counts as a Deal
A fare is listed as a deal when it is at least 20% below its usual price. “Great Deal” and “Possible Mistake Fare” mark larger drops. A fare that was cheaper at some point in the past 60 days is shown under “Cheap, but It Has Been Cheaper”. Fares priced far above what a trip that distance normally costs, and trips leaving in under two days, are not listed.
These Are Estimates
The usual price and the saving are our best estimates from the data we have, not guarantees. Fares change many times a day, a fare may have changed since we checked it, and our records can be incomplete or wrong. The price on the airline’s or booking site’s own page, before you pay, is the real one. Always check it there.
How Often We Check
We check every destination once a day and re-check listed deals through the day. Each deal shows the dates it was found for; other dates on the same route may cost more or less.
Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use OddFare. The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA: it works with a keyboard alone, with screen readers and at large text sizes, respects your device’s reduced-motion and dark-mode settings, and keeps text contrast at or above the guideline’s ratios in both themes. We test it with automated accessibility checks and by hand on phones and computers.
Known Limitations
Destination photographs are decorative and are not described in detail. The spam check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs without a puzzle for almost everyone; if it ever blocks you, write to us and we will take your request by email instead.
